Well Being

The well-being of our tamariki is at the heart of everything we do at Rosehill Intermediate. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.

Our teachers are trained in the Pause, Breathe & Smile program, equipping them with tools to help students manage stress, build resilience, and develop mindfulness.

To support the holistic wellbeing of our students, we incorporate:

  • Calming Activities: Techniques to help students regulate emotions and refocus.
  • Wellness Checks: Regular opportunities to connect, share, and reflect on feelings.
  • Energisers & Fitness Fun: Fun physical activities to boost energy and mood.
  • Te Whare Tapa Whā Model: Guided by Māori perspectives on wellbeing, we focus on balancing the four dimensions—taha tinana (physical health), taha wairua (spiritual wellbeing), taha whānau (family and social connections), and taha hinengaro (mental and emotional health).

Through these initiatives, we empower our tamariki to develop lifelong skills for managing challenges, staying positive, and building strong relationships. At Rosehill Intermediate, wellbeing isn’t just a priority—it’s a way of life.
