Reporting to Parents at Rosehill Intermediate

At Rosehill Intermediate, we are committed to building strong, meaningful connections with families and whānau throughout the year. We believe collaboration between home and school is key to supporting our students’ learning and development.

Key Opportunities for Connection and Reporting:

Term 1:

  • Meet the Teacher Evening & School Picnic: A chance to meet your child’s teacher, learn about their classroom routines, and connect with other families in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
  • Preliminary Report: A paper copy outlining your child’s initial progress, settling into the new year, and goals moving forward.  Parents share their thoughts and additional information on this report to support teachers in getting to know their child’s strengths and weaknesses
Term 2:
  • Mid-Year Report: A detailed update on your child’s progress in all areas of the curriculum, including strengths and areas for development.
  • Student-Led 3-Way Conferences: An opportunity for all students, parents, and teachers to come together to discuss learning progress, challenges, and goals – linked to the Mid-Year Report
Term 4:
  • End-of-Year Report: A summary of your child’s achievements, growth, and readiness for the next step in their learning journey.
  • Technology Report: A specialized report focusing on your child’s performance in the technology curriculum areas.

These reporting systems ensure open communication, provide clear updates on student progress, and support the partnership between home and school to guide our tamariki on their learning journey.
